Film and Video
These are just a few examples of my work in shooting, editing, and directing. Contact me for details!
"Incarcerated" Performance Video - Tiffany of Theophany Poetry contacted about creating a slick, moody video for her piece "Incarcerated" - so for the video I got to light, shoot, and edit this video with some on-set help in audio and makeup from my friend Dominique Horsley.
"Rise" Music Video - I wanted to push my boundaries and include dance in a project, especially for such an energetic track. With the video concept and a storyboard created, I brought in dancers/choreographers Emma Zancan and Montana Bridgeford, designed the wardrobe and lighting, rigged up a filming system with my friends Brad Tillery (and his truck) and camera operator Andrew Wirrig, and had Tiffany Adamson help as an on-set co-director. After the shoot was finished, I handled all color-grading and editing in post. You can see the full behind-the-scenes in this video
"Save a Life" Music Video: For this video, MillyAnn wanted to bring together a lyric video and a music video centered around dance. We conceptualized how to shoot the piece and did a little location scouting before shooting this late one summer evening.
I shot this piece, then handled all post-production - I also produced, mixed, and mastered the song! "Celebrate the King" Studio Video - "Celebrate the King" was the big, tentpole single for the original Christmas music "The Christmas Journey", so I designed the lighting, directed the shoot with the help of my friend Tiffany Adamson, and handled the editing for this visual. That's me singing with my friend Dominique Horsley too.
"The Roses" Music Video: I taught a small crew to use my camera gear, then story-boarded, lit, and directed this shoot after building the set. My post work then included all editing and color grading. My first ever music video!
"The Screen" Music Video - Lasers. That's what I wanted for this one. I directed and designed the lighting for the shoot, then trained my good friend (and stellar guitarist) Michael Cerrone as the camera operator for this shoot, then handled all editing/color grading in post-production.
"Rise" Lyric Video: This is one of several lyric videos I've made, combining animated text with graphic design and other assets to make a slick final product!
The Red Comet (Short Original Scene): After writing this scene for that my costar Tiffany Adamson and I could have something for our acting reels, I assembled a small crew of friends to shoot this scene, then handled the post video and audio editing. Truth be told, I learned a lot from this and see a lot that I personally could improve, but that's no reason not to share!
Logan and Ashley (Wedding Video): I don't normally do wedding videos, but I was asking to make a sentimental keepsake for the bridge and groom at this event, and I think the final product turned out wonderfully! Shot on-location during the ceremony and reception, and then edited in post.
Winds of Change: This is a montage of video footage I shot at the 2019 ALSD Conference and Tradeshow in Chicago, including footage shot "guerilla style" like tours of major sports venues, as well as sit-down interviews with industry executives.
Queenie's at The United Center: I shot and edited this video for ALSD, incorporating a sit-down interview footage and walk-and-talk audio with B-Roll from "Queenie's" at the United Center in Chicago, Illinois.
First Horizon Park: Another video shot and edited for ALSD incorporating sit-down interview footage as well as B-Roll shot on location the day of our visit.
